Missouri Eye Institute’s conveniently located offices in Springfield, Branson, and Joplin specialize in the most advanced medical and surgical eye care for the four states region. Our highly detailed and patient-focused care consists of laser-assisted cataract removal, advanced technology intraocular lens implants (toric, multifocal, extended depth of focus), laser vision correction surgeries (including bladeless custom i-Design LASIK), glaucoma treatments including laser and micro-invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), restorative eyelid and cosmetic procedures, corneal transplants and retinal care. Additionally, we provide care for many types of ocular problems, including cataract, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration, dry eye, and other conditions.

Missouri Eye Institute was founded in 1988 when we first began providing the highest quality eye care in Springfield. Missouri Eye Institute was the first practice in southwest Missouri to offer small-incision and sutureless cataract surgery, ushering in a new era of modernized cataract surgery to our region. Missouri Eye Institute was the first practice in the state of Missouri to offer bladeless laser vision correction (Intralase LASIK). As the demand for our services grew, Missouri Eye Institute expanded its locations to both Branson and Joplin as well as multiple satellite locations throughout the region. Throughout the years, we have introduced new and progressive technologies and procedures to our practices. We strive to be the best eye care providers in our region and continually seek out new technologies and procedures that provide the greatest benefit to our patients. Missouri Eye Institute also coordinates care with local optometrists within the four state region of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma; this allows patients the ability to continue high quality eye care—annual examinations, follow-up evaluations and comprehensive family eye care—with local eye care specialists convenient to home.
