Whether you’re into urban attractions or natural wonders, the experience is always better with sharper eyesight. You may even discover a renewed appreciation for the Show-Me State after LASIK: The little details you missed before vision correction are going to be much easier to see!

So, with that in mind, here are five Missouri sights you’ll enjoy more after LASIK:

  1. City Hall – Kansas City.

The historic City Hall building is a study in Art Deco with its bold lines and abundance of oak and Italian marble. The big bonus is the 30th-floor, open-air observation deck, which gives visitors a panoramic view of miles of landscape including the Missouri River.

414 E. 12th St., Kansas City, MO 64106 / (816) 513-2778

  1. Historic St. Joseph.

Connect with Missouri’s Wild West past at historic attractions throughout the community. St. Joseph is where Pony Express riders started their long ride to Sacramento, and visitors can view the stables where “Buffalo Bill” Cody and “Wild Bill” Hickock kicked off an arduous journey across the plains. You’ll also want to take in the Jesse James Home, where the infamous outlaw met his fate in 1882.

502 N. Woodbine, St. Joseph, MO 64501 / (816) 232-1839

  1. Truman Farm Home – Grandview.

Harry S. Truman’s grandmother built this quaint home on 600 acres in 1890, and the future president himself spent his youth working the land. Take a self-guided tour or book a guided tour before limited availability is booked up.

12301 Blue Ridge Blvd. Grandview, MO 64030 / (816) 254-2720

  1. Cave Spring – Kansas City.

This day-trip treasure is a pleasant mix of education and relaxation. After a visit to the interpretive center to learn about the area’s ecological and historical significance, guests can hike the land, visit the cave and habitat pond, or just kick back for a picnic.

8701 E. Gregory Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64133 / (816) 358-2283

  1. Union Station – Kansas City.

Amtrak passengers rolling into KC not only enjoy the fully restored station architecture but can also take in interactive exhibits, shops and restaurants, and occasional traveling displays, such as renowned art exhibits and visiting museum installations.

30 W. Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO 64108 / (816) 460-2020
