Andrew R. Osborn, MD

Dr. Andrew Osborn joined Missouri Eye Institute as an anterior segment surgeon in August 2022. He was raised in Springfield, Missouri, and is the son of ophthalmologist Dr. Daniel R. Osborn. He graduated cum laude honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. While at Mizzou, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Following medical school, Dr. Osborn completed a combined medical and surgical internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was elected chief resident of the intern class. He then completed residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute, the top-ranked ophthalmology training program at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. He was again chosen to serve as chief resident.

Dr. Osborn’s specialty areas include modern cataract surgery (including laser-assisted cataract surgery and monofocal, multifocal, and toric cataract procedures), astigmatism correction, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), eyelid plastic surgery (blepharoplasty), and treatment of retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration.

Dr. Osborn is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association.

Outside of ophthalmology, Dr. Osborn’s hobbies include enjoying the outdoors of Southwest Missouri and fishing on Table Rock Lake. Most of all he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
